the Grand Knight
Council Meeting
August 12th, 7PM
An old Latin proverb, “Initium est dimidium facti”, reminds us of the timeless importance of simply beginning the task at hand.
It translates to: “Once you’ve started, you’re halfway there.”
Let me start by thanking Doug Zuidema for leading our Council and mentoring me during the past couple of years. I feel it is an honor and a privilege to be the new Grand Knight of Dan M. Kennedy Council #706 and thank the membership for trusting me. In saying that, I also would like to thank the current and new officers for their time and effort.
July begins a new fraternal year for the Knights of Columbus and every couple of years we elect new officers to lead our council.

Our council meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us. This month our meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 12th @ 7pm.

Coming Events:
- –Once again, we will be manning the grill at St. Michael/St. Francis parish picnic on Sunday, August 17th after the 11am mass. We are looking for a handful (5 or 6) of volunteers to cook hamburgers and hot dogs. Contact Eric for more information.
- All summer long, Wednesday Dinners will be $10 or less!!
- -August dinners will only be on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays
