Council Meeting
Thursday, April 11th, 2024 – 7:00 PM

Brother Knights of Council 706,

Easter is here, Jesus Christ is risen!!!

Below are a few quotes that you may want to reflect on this Easter…

“Let your light shine before others.” “No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.” “The day the Lord created hope was probably the same day he created spring.” “Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life.”

Have a blessed Easter!” “May the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ fill your heart with hope and purpose this Easter season.” “The miracle of Easter is a testament to God’s love and power. Praying that you experience this mighty love in your life.” “Rejoice, for our Savior has risen!

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” (John 11:25) Rejoice in hope this Easter season! Sending many blessings to you during this time of hope, joy, and renewal.

“Happy Resurrection Day to a wonderful family!” “Praying your Easter will be bright with the hope and joy of our risen Savior.” “He is risen! Hoping your Easter is happy and blessed.”

Wishing you a delightful Easter filled with hope, joy and the wonder of God’s blessings. Honoring the sacrifice made His name and salvation on this blessed day. May God bless you with faith and family this Easter. Rejoice in the resurrection of the Lord, our savior.

Confucius says: “Never put all your Eggs in one basket, unless it is an Easter basket of course.”

How do you explain the real meaning of Easter to kids?

Jesus loves you so much that he was willing to die and be resurrected. Easter is a celebration of his death, but also celebrates the hope for all people who believe in Him! This is Easter explained for kids!

I am confident there will be ample room in the church of your choosing on April 7th, come join us!

From the Editors Desk

I hope you all had a great Easter with family and friends.

I have talked to the Excalibur Golf Course and our Thursday morning group will start soon.  I still have not come up with a start date, but stay tuned.  We tee off Thursdays at 9:20 am.  If you would like to play with a great group, come on out and play.  This is just a fun group and it’s not a difficult course.

Jokes and Reflections

Joke of the Month:

The Wrong Nails

Ron and John were building a house. John was on a ladder, nailing. He’d reach into his nail pouch, pull out a nail, look at it, and either toss it over his shoulder or proceed to nail it into the wood.

Ron couldn’t stand it any longer and yelled, “Why are you throwing some of the nails away?”

John explained, “When I pull it out of my nail pouch, if it’s pointed toward me, I throw it away. If it’s pointed toward the house, then I can use it.”

Ron replied, “What’s wrong with you? Don’t throw away the nails that are pointed toward you! They’re for the other side of the house.”

Bonus Joke this month:

Dirty Laundry

A newly married couple was having breakfast at their new apartment when the nextdoor neighbor hung out laundry that appeared to still be dirty.

The new wife commented to her husband, “Our neighbor must not know how to do her laundry properly, how to put in the correct amount of bleach. detergent, etc.”

She made this comment every Monday for the next month.

Finally, one day, the neighbor’s wash appeared to be perfectly clean.

The new wife commented on this and said to her husband, “The whole load looks really good.”

The husband then replied, “Honey, I got up early today and washed our windows.”

Bonus Joke 2:

Safe Flying

After boarding and taking off for a long flight over the ocean, the speaker comes on with an important message for passengers.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, we are introducing you today to the latest and newest aviation advancement in history. This plane is flying without a pilot or co-pilot.  It is controlled by way of radio from the ground.  So, sit back and relax and enjoy your flight.  Be assured that absolutely nothing can go wrong,…absolutely nothing can go wrong,…absolutely nothing can go wrong,…absolutely nothing can go wrong…”
