Council Meeting
Thursday, February 13th – 7:30 PM

Fellow 706 Brothers:

With January soon behind us (thank heavens) and February on our doorstep, below are some key reminders and points of guidance as it relates to the month of February and our Catholic Faith.

The Catholic theme of February is dedicated to the Holy Family. The special devotion which proposes the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph as the model of virtue of all Christian households began in the 17th century.

Catholic Holy Family Prayer for February:

Dear Lord, Bless our family. Be so kind as to give us the unity, peace, and mutual love that You found in Your own family in the little town of Nazareth. Saint Joseph, pray for the head of our family. Obtain for him the strength, the wisdom, and the prudence he need to support and direct those under his care.

 Biblical message for February

February’s theme for scripture quotes is “Strength and Courage” featuring Bible verses about being strong and courageous. Fear not, for the Lord is with us. He will strengthen us and help us through adversity.

The Pope’s prayer for February:

Let us open our hearts to let go of any harsh feelings towards others or ourselves. Then we can welcome the love of Christ in our hearts. May we accept His grace and mercy, so that we may be able to give grace and mercy to others. Let us return to our God together, leaving no one to face their storm alone.

Catholic prayer of February:

O Saint Joseph, most holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by thy prayers in all our spiritual and temporal necessities; that so we may be enabled to praise our divine Savior Jesus, together with Mary and thee, for all eternity.

Our next monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, February 13th at 7pm.     As always, all 706 members are welcome and encouraged to attend.   Space is limited and seating will be on a first come, first served basis

John: Nothing, I just want the money.

The other says, “I’m a big metal fan.”
