From the Desk of
the Grand Knight
Council Meeting
Thursday, November 11th, 2022 – 7:00 PM
Brother Knights,
As the winter months of the year approach, we have our “Winter gear of kids” donation event. Please help us gather coats, gloves, hat or socks for the kids of our community. Drop the items off or free will donation at the club, add “Coats for Kids” in the memo line please. Thank you in advance for the help with the success of this event.
As the cold weather approaches, it is a good time to come back into church and warm your souls with the love of God and the people of the parish. I know this is a difficult time some people, especially with all that we have been through the past couple of years, but getting back to the things we love and need in our lives is important.
If you are out in the community doing good, please let me know through an email or a text message. My email is carlton29@frontier.com or text me at 231-740-4651, this will help me track what we are doing as brother Knights for our community. If you are a brother and are in need of fulfillment in your life, please call and we can help.
I would ask that you add into your prayers, that God may guide our leaders and all of us to make the place we live in better than the day before. I believe that all of us can make a difference, especially in our own community, it starts with each one of us.
Council meetings will be the second Thursday of each month and everybody is welcome and encourage to join us for our monthly meeting. This month will be on November 10th @ 7 pm.
I hope all Brother Knights and their families are doing well, but for those that are going through tough times please pray for them. See the members in need on the website and keep them in your prayers. Also, check out the activities planned for the Holliday and Holyday seasons. See these activities in the Building Association news and on our Website, www.kc706.com . Thank you in advance for support of these activities, these are things that make our Council great and make it possible to do our Charitable works.

On October 10, the ladies organized a “Ladies Night Out” called Wine and Design. They had 45 ladies in attendance. Everyone enjoyed creating awesome witches’ hats! So much creativity. Everyone enjoyed relaxing, conversation and a few cocktails. Thank you, Pam DeWall and Barb Langlois for coordinating this night out. Sandi Gowin and Deb Sechen lent a hand contributing to its success.
It was so successful; they are planning the next Ladies Night. It will be held Monday, December 5 starting at 6:30 p.m.
We will be creating a Christmas tabletop arrangement made with fresh greens and fresh flowers. All supplies included: cost $25.00. Sign-up by texting Barb (231-740-5998) or Pam (231-670-4225). Class is filling up quickly. Please reserve your spot…Ladies Only.

Had Room for Another: Carpooling.
Carpooling to work, a man got increasingly stressed with each trip. After a week of panic attacks, he went to the doctor.
“I’m fine on the bridges, in the traffic and even in the dark after a long day,” the man explained. “But when I go through the tunnels with those three other guys, I feel like I’m gonna explode. Am I crazy?””Not at all,” the doctor said. “You just have Car-pool Tunnel Syndrome.”
