Greetings Knights of Columbus Council 706,

Our turkey dinner fundraiser was a smashing success, and I again wanted to thank all of those who supported and helped.      With the funds, the council was able to submit another very large order of winter coats from the State-level Knights of Columbus and I was notified just recently that we will be receiving the shipment on Wednesday, November 6^th.      We will be getting these warm and very high-quality coats on the backs of those who need them the most very soon thereafter.     In addition to the coats, we will be purchasing and distributing winter hats and gloves as well.    

In keeping with the theme of winter wear, West Michigan Catholic Charities has reached out to our council again to help hand out winter coats to the less fortunate in our community.     These coats were generously donated, as in the past 8 years, by Molina Healthcare and the event will be held on Saturday November 9^th from 11-1 at West Michigan Catholic Charities off of Laketon behind the Men’s shelter.      We are looking for volunteers to help hand out coats so if you are able, please let me know ASAP.
