Council Meeting
Thursday, September 9, 2021 – 7:00 PM

Fellow Brothers,

September is here; kids are heading back to school and football games are starting. Hopefully, another common thing of fall will be here soon…cooler weather. I love summer weather and all that comes with it, but fall is my favorite time of year. God continues to display all his beautiful work throughout all the seasons, so get out there and enjoy them.

Thank you to Tim Kordecki and Steve Tejchma for the help with the new family cookout at St. Francis de Sales, we had a good turn-out for burgers and hot dogs on the grill. If you are involved in an event within our community, first off, thank you, and second, could you send me info about the event? I can then track our involvement within the community and it would be great for helping me keep track of all that we do in the community. Please send info to Carlton29@frontier.com or just drop me a text at 231-740-4651.

The patio is open, so make sure you take advantage of the great weather. Steve will continue to have dinners on Wednesday nights and fish fry dinners every other Friday, so come down for a dinner to support the club.

I would ask that you add into your prayers, that God may guide our leaders and all of us to make the place we live in better than the day before. I believe that all of us can make a difference, especially in our own community, it starts with each one of us.

Council meetings will be the second Thursday of each month and everybody is welcome and encourage to join us for our monthly meeting. This month our council meeting will be on September 9th @ 7 pm.

I hope all Brother Knights and their families are doing well, but for those that are going through tough times please pray for them. See the members in need on the website and keep them in your prayers.

Building Association News

Effective July 1, 2021, the price of drinks will be increasing. With cost going up, we needed to raise the prices. As of the last Building Association meeting, all drinks will increase by $.50. It has been over ten years since we have raised our prices. However, this is still quite a bargain at the new price.

The Building Association would like to thank everyone who helped with all the activities including dinners, bartending, cleaning, etc., during this COVID-19. Without all of you who volunteered, we would have been in trouble financially. Please check the website event calendar for all future events.

During the summer months, we still have our Wednesday night dinners…dine-in, drive-thru, and pick-up. Please try to support these dinners. Current dinner schedules coming up:

Joke(s) of the Month

Yard Work

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn’t run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But somehow, I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat. Always something more important to me.

Finally, she thought of a clever way to make her point. When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again, I handed her a toothbrush.

I said, “When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway.”

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

A singles ad that appeared in the Atlanta Journal

Single black female seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I’m a very good-looking girl that loves to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping, fishing trips, and cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I’ll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me. Call: XXX-XXX-XXXX and ask for Daisy.
