From the Desk of
the Grand Knight
Council Meeting
Thursday, September 8th, 2022 – 7:00 PM
Brother Knights,
I know it doesn’t feel like it, but September is here, and kids are heading back to school and football games are starting. Looks like we will be blessed with a week or so of summer weather. I love summer weather and all that comes with it, but fall is my favorite time of year. God continues to display all his beautiful work throughout all the seasons, so get out there and enjoy them.
Don’t forget to sign up for the volunteer dinner and boat ride. Thank you to all the volunteers, the Knights of Columbus wouldn’t be where we are today without the many volunteers at the club and within our community. If you are involved in an event within our community, first off thank you and second, could you send me info about the event? I can than track our involvement within the community and it would be great for helping me keep track of all that we do in the community. Please send info to Carlton29@frontier.com or just drop me a text at 231-740-4651.
The patio is open, so make sure you take advantage of the great weather. Steve will continue to have dinners on Wednesday nights, so come down for a dinner to support the club.
I would ask that you add into your prayers, that God may guide our leaders and all of us to make the place we live in better than the day before. I believe that all of us can make a difference, especially in our own community, it starts with each one of us.
Council meetings will be the second Thursday of each month and everybody is welcome and encourage to join us for our monthly meeting. This month our council meeting will be on September 8th @ 7 pm.
I hope all Brother Knights and their families are doing well, but for those that are going through tough times please pray for them. See the members in need on the website and keep them in your prayers.

Joke(s) of the Month
Some Random Thoughts
True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school classmate is running the country.
The best thing about being 40 or older is that we did all our stupid stuff before the internet existed so there’s no proof.
Started to go to the gym this morning and couldn’t find my membership card. And new one is $15. A donut and coffee was $5. Guess who saved $10?
Stephen King has a brother named Joe. I’m not joking, but he is.
“The starting pay is $40,000. Later it can go up to $80,000.” “Great. I’ll start later.”
Are you sweating whilst putting gas in your car, feeling sick when paying for it, you have got the carownervirus
I replaced my litter box with a FedX box, now when it’s full I just tape it shut and put it on my porch for someone to steal.
I have so little faith in society today, I always look both ways before crossing a one-way street !
Sometimes you meet someone and you know from the first moment that you want to spend your whole life without them.I am now 60 years old and I have to take a pictures of labels with my phone so I can blow it up bigger to read it.
Here Comes the Judge
Taking his seat in his chambers, the judge faced the opposing lawyers.
“So,” he said, “I have been presented, by both of you, with a bribe.”
Both lawyers squirmed uncomfortably. “You, Mr. Leon, gave me $15,000. And you, Mr. Campos, gave me $10,000.”
The judge reached into his pocket and pulled out a check. He handed it to Mr. Leon. “Now then, I’m returning $5,000, and we’re going to decide this case solely on its merits.”
Had Room for Conundrum
- While sitting, lift your right foot off the ground and make clockwise circles with it.
- While doing this, draw the number six in the air with your right hand.
- Your foot will change direction, and there is nothing you can do about it.
